Change Your Tax Status
As an employee you can change your tax status one of two ways: file a W-4 form for the current tax year with your departmental payroll representative, or change your status on-line through the At Your Service site.
Submit page 1 of the W-4 form to your departmental payroll representative for entry.
- Sign in to AYSO using your Social Security Number or username
- Enter your password, or your date of birth (mmddyyyy format) if you do not have a password
- You will be prompted to agree to the electronic authorization and to choose six questions that will be asked every time you change your password
- If prompted, update your user name to one that you will use instead of your SSN to login to AYSO
- Under the Income & Taxes heading, choose the Tax Withholdings link, this will open a screen with your current withholdings
- If you know your new status information choose the Change Withholdings link and enter information for Federal or State Tax Status, press submit to update the information
- To determine correct allowances use the Calculate Allowances link and answer questions on the screen, make sure to submit information after you have completed
- To determine how a new status will affect your earnings, use the Estimate Tax Withheld link to review Federal or State Tax information; screen will populate with current information and you can adjust to your new status to see what affect it will have on your payment
